Ride report from Wednesday 26th May.

Route
An unusual cheeky variation on what sounds usual when written like this – (? Eh?)
Royal > Kinder Road > Edale Cross > Chapel Gate/Rushup edge > Roych Clough > South Head > Campsite > Pub…

Weather
Rain had stopped; it had only really wet the surface and dampened down the dust. It was still, quite humid, but not that warm.

Views
There were great views with ‘thermal inversions’ in the valleys and the sunset above.

In attendance
Rick, Ally (Rick’s lodger), FP Dave, Gary, Eoin and me!

Huge thanks to everyone for picking both me, and the bike, up and straightening us out as best you could...

How are you feeling Ben?

You looked in a lot of pain.

Very sore and stiff - better if I keep moving, I seize up if I stop! I keep thinking I’ve bust a rib, but then after some prodding I convince myself I'm just battered and bruised... at least this pain is distracting me from my the knee, elbow and the need for a new frame!

Cheers B

Missing ride reports from last two rides…

I know that there were rides both last night and last week, but do not know where you when etc. could someone who was out post a note with rough routes/details?

You had cracking weather both nights and there seemed to be a big turnout last week especially.

Cheers

Not really sure where we went last week, started off up 20 trees and down to Carr Meadow Farm, over Matley Moor and over Cown Edge past Past Picking Rods then it gets hazy, right then left and left again later over a lane and some rock back to a road to the top of Mellor thru those poor peoples houses and past a big bull, thru a field, down a road and then I got fed up and went home and left them to it, was pants.
Weather was weird, windy with a permanent semi-low cloud but not cold??!!
In attendance, Gus, Ross, Gary, Dan and Dave Zesty, John, Bryan and another chap on a Giant I think?

Last night was awesome, up Highgate, Peep O day, then mysteriously we were in Chinley with big grins? Lots of road up to Chapel and thru to Combs, Ladder Hill, across Fernilee Dam and thru to 'The Street' and upto Pym Chair, then mysteriously we were in Whaley Bridge with big grins??!!
Perfect Midsummer's evening ride and didnt even take lights but was in danger of doing a 'Creedy' towards the end
In attendance, Gary, Ross, Bryan and Dan (the eldest of the Zesty Twins)

I apologise to my riding companions for being a minger last night, had been out walking in the morning, skate park in the afternoon and then out for the ride, have washed everything today -clothes, gloves, helmet, camelback, the lot of it, wont happen again honest
Superb raptor with a distinctive white eyebrow.
